Horizon League Television Package To Debut this Weekend on Fox Sports Net

The 2005 Horizon League basketball television package on Fox Sports Net will debut this Saturday, Jan. 8, as Detroit plays at Wright State in a key matchup early in the League schedule.


Tipoff is 4 p.m. ET in Dayton as the League-leading Titans (5-7, 2-0) look to remain perfect in the Horizon League after back-to-back wins over preseason favorites UW-Milwaukee and UIC within the past week. The Raiders (6-7, 1-1), meanwhile, will play host to Cleveland State this Wednesday, Jan. 6, prior to the Detroit game and hope to bounce back from a heartbreaking 73-71 overtime loss at UW-Green Bay on Monday.


Eric Collins will call the play-by-play for Saturday's game with color commentary by former Loyola head coach Larry Farmer. Chris Boden will handle sideline duties.


The Horizon League's Fox Sports Net package includes 12 regular-season games -- nine men's and three women's -- through the final week of the regular season in late February.


In addition to a variety of games being produced locally, the UIC at UW-Milwaukee men's game on Feb. 5 will be broadcast on ESPN. Tipoff for that game is 2 p.m. ET.
